Just Saying & Other Musings

This is a space for curiosity, contemplation, and the kind of deep dives that nourish the soul

Here, you’ll find reflections and resources on various topics, from metaphysical insight and spiritual practice to personal growth and, sometimes, the political moments that shape how we live and heal. Each topic has its page, so you can explore what calls to you without getting lost in the scroll.

I write about what moves me: ideas that spark thought, stir emotion, or deserve more attention. And if you’d like to see something covered but don’t find it here, I’d love to hear from you. Just email me your ideas, and I’ll consider exploring them in a future post.
Let’s keep the conversation going.
If you want to know more about me, there is an About section at the bottom of the page.

If Everything Is Energy, Nothing Is Separate

Picture
A Practical Way to Set Direction Without Goals, Manifesting, or Spiritual Buzzwords

If everything is energy, then nothing is separate. Not you and your work. Not your thoughts and your calendar. Not your rituals and your bank account.
This is not a belief I hold. It is something I have lived, tested, and refined over time.
I am not interested in lofty spiritual ideas that do not translate into real-world movement. I care about what works, what repeats, and what can be relied on. Over and over again, I have seen that when direction is set clearly and revisited rhythmically, life responds in tangible, practical ways. Not because I am special. Not because the universe plays favourites. But because energy responds to clarity and relationship.
This is why traditional goal-setting has never worked particularly well for me. It treats life like a project to be managed instead of a field to be engaged with. It relies on force, pressure, and future-oriented striving, rather than presence, coherence, and responsiveness. And frankly, we have overdone it.
The same is true for words like manifestation and law of attraction. They once pointed to something meaningful. Now they are so overused that many people stop listening the moment they hear them. The language has worn out, even though the underlying mechanics have not.
So let’s clear the language and keep the intelligence.

The Field We Are Already In
We know now that there is an energetic field and that we are embedded within it. This is not spiritual speculation. It is physics, biology, and lived human experience converging.
We are in constant energetic relationship with other people, animals, plants, land, air, and time. You do not step into this field when you meditate. You never leave it.
The question is not whether the field responds to you. The question is how clearly you are participating in the conversation.
Most people struggle here because they send mixed signals. They speak more about what they do not want than what they are actually orienting toward. They wrap their intentions in longing, frustration, justification, and emotional backstory. Energy does not need explanation. It needs direction.

Why Want and Deserve Weaken the Signal
Language matters because language carries instruction. I want signals absence. I deserve often carries insistence. Neither are morally wrong. They are simply inefficient.
The energetic field does not require emotional decoration. It responds to specificity and coherence. This is why ritual works. This is why repetition works. This is why clarity works.

Why This Is Not a One-and-Done Practice
Energy responds to relationship, not declarations. Ritual, cycles, and repetition reinforce coherence. Ritual as Molecular Repatterning. Repetition changes perception. Perception changes behaviour. Behaviour changes outcomes.

What Delivery Actually Looks Like in Real Life
When I notice I need more readings, I orient clearly. My energy shifts first. I respond differently. Opportunities arrive through existing relationships. It feels correct, not surprising.

Science Has Been Catching Up Quietly
Focused intention produces measurable outcomes when clarity, repetition, and coherence are present. Rethinking the Annual Pathway Forward
Instead of goals, I work with qualities and direction. I establish relationship, not demand outcomes.

Living in Conversation With the Field
Living in conversation with the field is not about believing the right things or saying the right words. It is about learning to participate consciously in a system you are already part of. You set direction with clarity, you return to it with rhythm, and you stay available to respond when life answers back. The response does not arrive as spectacle. It arrives as opportunity you can recognise, conversations that open at the right moment, and work that finds you through pathways already in motion. When this becomes a way of living rather than a technique, the question shifts from “Is this working?” to “Am I paying attention?” That is where trust grows, not as blind faith, but as lived evidence built over time.

You know I struggle with the term law of attraction, because I don't believe for a minute that we invite in ugliness and toxicity into our lies through our thoughts. I remember having this discussion with you on how a book would state that children were attracting predators into their lives and if they would just think differently, they wouldn't be violated. I was never so angry to read something so vile. And no that it was a best-selling book. I also know that that for you is not what law of attraction is about. And it is still a struggle for me to wrap my head around. I use prayer and talking out loud, as a way to shift through my energy and create clarity. I used to do companion breathing with my cats, and even prior with my horse, but I no longer have any of those in my life. And unless the tenancy laws change in BC, I don't anticipate being allowed any pets. Traditional meditation does nothing for me, and it could be due to the fact that I cannot visualize. So I found your article interesting and I'll refer back to it throughout the year. Thank you

I’ve been on the consciousness trail since the mid-80s — back when healing work was still underground and spiritual growth didn’t have hashtags. My journey began in British Columbia, guided by traditional Elders and Knowledge Keepers whose teachings continue to shape everything I do. In those early years, I immersed myself in practices like Rebirthing, Primal Scream Therapy, and Bio-Energetics — long before Reiki and energy healing became mainstream. Each step peeled back layers, revealing not just what needed healing in myself, but what I was here to offer others. Later, in Tucson, Arizona, I became a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Meditation Teacher, and Neuro Emotional Release (NER) practitioner. I also worked extensively with individuals transitioning out of sober living, helping them re-enter society with self-trust and emotional resilience. This blog is where I share what I’ve learned — and what I’m still learning. You’ll find thoughts on metaphysics, spiritual growth, emotional healing, and sometimes even politics — because everything is connected when it comes to transformation. I write from experience, from curiosity, and from a place of service. If there’s a topic you’re longing to explore, drop me a note. This space is for all of us walking the path.
